What makes us desire a watch, a pair of shoes or the latest smartphone? What are we really seeking through the objects we own? Power? Security? Love?

Holy Shoes explores the relationship between people and possessions, using the shoe as the ultimate symbol of the dysfunctional power that objects can hold over us.

Through the stories of four characters whose lives are, in different ways, transformed or endangered by shoes, the ultimate object of desire, Holy Shoes explores what we are prepared to do to find our place in the world and how far we will go to feel loved and accepted.

It portrays a world in which we all desire what we do not have, and all long to become something we are not.
