Laura Trabacchi is a successful interior designer who has raised her daughter Emma on her own, spoiling her and sending her abroad to study.

Then her affair with the husband of her most important client is exposed, and Laura loses her home, her reputation and her career almost overnight.

Help comes from her former housekeeper, Agnese Santini, who takes her in. Agnese’s brother Fabrizio, recently separated, is also living there.

When Agnese has a minor accident, Laura offers to take over her cleaning jobs so that Agnese can look after her nephew Nicola.

Cleaning the homes of her former “friends”, many of them the very homes she once decorated, forces Laura to reconsider everything she thought mattered.

Along the way, she finds the courage to build an honest relationship with her daughter and discovers love where she least expected it.
