Once upon a time, there was a dark fairy tale set on the outskirts of Rome, between a bleak, overbuilt coastline and a countryside that was once marshland.

A small community of families, their teenage children, a school. A seemingly ordinary world beneath which the fathers’ quiet sadism festers, subtle yet relentless, alongside the passivity of the mothers and the guilty indifference of the adults.

Above all, there is the despair of the children: diligent and cruel, unable to make themselves heard, until their long-suppressed rage finally erupts and carries everyone towards ruin.
