Tutto a posto

Reggio Calabria.

Francesco is a middle-aged teacher who has lost his sight following an illness. His wife has left him, while his daughter Maria has moved to London to study, living up to the expectations he placed on her.

Bitter and condescending, Francesco keeps the world at arm’s length.

One morning, outside the iconic Archaeological Museum, he accidentally strikes Salvatore, known as Sasà, with his cane.

Sasà is a young man who survives by his wits after drifting through one care home after another before ending up on the streets. He poses as a tour guide outside the museum.

Using the excuse of bringing Francesco his shopping, Sasà gains access to the teacher’s home and steals a set of keys.

Careful not to be discovered, he secretly moves into the flat, drawn there by something he cannot quite explain. At night, he falls asleep listening to the novels Angela, the concierge who also helps around the house, reads aloud to Francesco.

As the days pass, Sasà becomes increasingly fond of the teacher. When Francesco dismisses Angela, he quietly does everything he can to help him while remaining invisible.

Until one day Francesco speaks directly to him.

His presence was never a secret.

Meanwhile, Sasà has met Anna, a beautiful floral designer with whom he is falling in love. She dreams of creating a new powder-pink rose at Sante’s nursery, where she works and where Sasà often turns up on the pretext of helping her.

For Francesco’s birthday, knowing that his daughter Maria will be visiting, Sasà restores the terrace, replacing its dead plants with bulbs taken from the nursery.

Everything seems to be going smoothly.

Then comes the night of the party, and a hilarious “trip” to Pentidattilo changes everything.
